What is it that the CPI is celebrating

Dr T H Chowdary*

The Communist Party of India (CPI) was founded in India in 1925. So was the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) founded in the same year.  The RSS spawned the political party Jana Sangh (Oct 1951) which morphed into the  Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP ( April 16, 1980). Where are the CPI and BJP now?

2.  The CPI has split into about ten parties, one of them, the Maoists waging war against the  Indian state through its Peoples War Guerilla Army (PWGA) since over forty years.  Most Communists are  divided between the CPI and CPM ( which broke off from the  CPI in 1964 and then broke into  many more).

3. Here are some figures to compare the , hundred year old entities.

4.  The reasons for the decimation of the communists are that they are anti-national, anti-Hindu, pro-partition of the motherland, pro-Islamists within and  outside Bharat, pro-infiltration of Bangla Desi Muslims and Rohingyas, pro-tukadaficators  of India, seekers of favours from Indira and Indo-Italian (mother-son-daughter)  led and owned Congress for an MLA / MLC seat here and there.

5. Comrades will do well to introspect and recognize the true causes of their miserable state  in India except in Kerala where too their hold is precarious  - no Communist MP from Kerala in the Lok Sabha now .

6. There is no COMINTERN or COMINFORM to dictate a “line” for them nor Comrades  Rajani Padma Dutta and Harry Pollitt to guide them from UK.

7. Living in memories and hoping to survive by grace of Congress, may sustain them as sappers and miners of Congress; better as Congress’ Communist Party (CCP) like the Congress Socialist Party ( CSP of yore , 1934-48)
