Disgraceful; Utterly Offensive

(Amaravati on Sakshi TV – June 10, 2025)

Dr T H Chowdary*

Are political parties, their leaders and their supporters enemies of one another’s? Or are they rivals to excel other in the  service of people in the country? Are journalists  and  anchors of TV channels partisans, using their  talents and  information media to denigrate, slander and  propagate falsehoods undertaken by leaders of parties and governments they dislike.

2. These questions arise when we see and hear the  foul words uttered  by a journalist and his encouraging and appreciating anchor person on Sakshi TV channel owned by an erstwhile Chief Minister  (his family) of Andhra Pradesh.

3. This duo of a journalist and the  anchor person ( by the way he belongs to my Samajika vargam) of Sakshi TV ravelled in calling Amaravathi, AP’s capital whose construction has been resumed by AP’s triparty -alliance government, an area of abundant prostitutes !

4. This very Amaravathi was accepted and  spoken of as one of the  capitals for distributed governance of AP by the  party these worthies adore and serve.  It was from this place that the party they propagate for, made laws in the legislative building there during 2019-’24. Did the prostitutes prosper there then?

5. Dislike of and hatred for Sri Chandrababu Naidu and  his TDP has driven these people to denigrate Amaravati.  It is an insult to and crime against the  thousands of farmers and their families who  made over their fertile farms to build a magnificent capital for their  state.  What vileness these “journalists” are driven by intolerance and  hatred.  The curse of millions of Telugu people will mete out just punishment to the two for the  crime of slander.

6. In pure literature Amaravati was the  capital of Indra, Lord of Devas.  In historic times, Buddhists established Universities. Nagarjuna, the  great Buddhist scholar taught here.  Such had been the  fame of this area. To call it a place of vesyas, prostitutes is sacrilege.

7. Sri Krishnam Raju from the  description of the  several titles he held, appears to be a charlatan.

8. The duo Sri Krishnam Raju & Kommineni are  drawing the just ire of not only the women and farmers of the  capital region of AP but millions of Telugu people.  Now the wheels of justice are moving by the  arrest of the  duo.  Let us  hope that grind they may slowly, they will do so fine.

9. Lastly, I recall the words of minister of UK in the  House of Commons (Parliament) when accused of corruption. He warned the  accuser, “if you tell lies about us , we will tell the  truth about you”.
