Muslims in the SC Category
Dr T.H.Chowdary*
The Minorities cell of the Congress (I) is reported to be working upon a legislation for including Muslims and dalit Christians in the SC category so that they can avail of the benefits of reservations and various welfare measures intended for Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist SCs. It is astounding as to how Muslims who have ruled various parts of India for hundreds of years have become backward and now reduced to the status of former illiterates and untouchables and perpetually poor people in Hinduism .
2. Just consider South Africa. The White Christian invaders from Europe conquered that land, ruled it for hundreds of years, converted most of its people to Christianity but kept them as untouchables and confined them to ghettos , denied votes and any welfare . After series of struggles led by great people like Nelson Mandela, as late as in 1994 the Whites gave up their exclusive government and South Africa is now enjoying majority rule. The situation in India is not dissimilar to South Africa. Invaders from Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran and Central Asia conquered parts of India, settled down here and converted many. They ruled this country. The properties of the conquered were appropriated and constituted into wakfs, the incomes from which are meant for the welfare of the conquering and ruling people . Just as in South Africa, majority rule has come in India in 1947 and the former ruled Hindus have come into their own. The Muslims who were erstwhile rulers, who did not go to Pakistan the country of their creation but stayed over here, are now saying that they are backward, that they are poor, that they are discriminated and therefore they require reservation just like Harijans of Hindus. It is just like if the former White Christian minority rulers of South Africa claiming that they are poor and they should be given reservations. Muslims were never untouchables; were not denied education, were not the ruled but they were the rulers. It would be an act of great injustice and insulting that Hindus, the formerly ruled and exploited are asked to confess that Muslims, the former rulers have been impoverished by Hindus since 1947.

3. The idea of including Muslims in the S.C category appears to be based on a conspiracy which aims to promote an alliance of the converts to Christianity and Muslims to constitute a majority and rule over the Hindus again. Those SCs who are converted to Christianity and are acknowledging conversion in government records, are put in the BC category and are thus robbing the reservations meant for Hindu BCs. Some castes of Muslims ( what a monstrosity). A religion which said there are no castes like in Hinduism, is claiming there are castes in Islam) are already in the BC category, depriving Hindu BCs from the benefit of reservations.
4. A Christian Minister from Andhra Pradesh in the Center has been publicly proclaiming that votes for Congress are votes for strengthening Christianity. All powerful ministries are already in the hands of minorities. Division of and mutual hostility among Hindus are promoted by the I-Command ( of foreign origin) on the basis of caste. Bharatiyas must recognise the conspiracy of foreign elements to subjugate the majority and rule over them.
5. Now, inclusion of Muslims and dalit converts to Christianity in the SC category would mean, Hindu SCs ( and Hindu BCs) would be overwhelmed by these converts and would be incentive to convert. This indeed seems to be the objective of the Italian-born, catholic Christian I-command of the Congress (I).
Is not the onset of minority rule over Hindus becoming clearer by the day?
