Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019

Some Questions to Denouncers

Dr T.H.Chowdary*

The traditionally self-styled secular political leaders and their parties,  the congenitally Hindu-hostile communists, and their fellow -travelers and Mecaulayised  (only  in blood and colour  Indian  but unIndian in every other aspect) have been whipping up the innocent and ill-informed persons in the country, especially   Muslims against the CAA -2019. Would they kindly  answer the following  questions, if not publicly, in their true conscience  for themselves  at least?

1)      If Muslims are persecuted in Bangladesh, Afghanistan and  Pakistan  (BAP) all of which are  members of the Organisation of  Islamic Co-operation (OIC),  why don’t the above  politicians and  leaders and intellectuals advise the persecuted Muslims in these  three countries to seek refuge, shelter and  citizenship  in any of the 57 Muslim countries of the OIC ? Does not Islam speak of a borderless Umma (community) of  believers in Islam and Mohammed as the only and last Prophet of God, Allah?

2)       Why don’t any one country  in the  OIC invite  persecuted   Muslim brothers to its country ? Why don’t Turkey and Malaysia, the two Muslim countries  which are faulting  India’s CAA invite the persecuted Muslims into their  countries and why should they demand that they should be allowed to come to India and gain its citizenship ? Is  this to swell the ranks of  Muslims in India  ?

3)      Why are Indian Muslims providing refuge,  shelter  and succor to Rohingyas, the Bangladesh origin Muslims who  had entered India and not  Bangladesh or Malayasia or any one of the  OIC countries ?

Why is it that Rohingya Muslims of  Bangladesh origin are settling in Hindu- majority Jammu and not in 100% Muslim  Kashmir Valley towns like Srinagar ? Why are they in the Muslim majority area of Hyderabad and not in Dhaka or Islamabad ?

4)      Some Muslim leaders, Islamists, their traditional  allies, the  various communist parties and seculars of Sonia  (Italian origin) Congress variety are saying that India’s Muslims are experiencing extreme  insecurity with the rise of the   Hindutva forces and  the BJP led government.  Why then are they wanting  the Muslims from Bangladesh, Pakistan  and Afghanistan to come to India, where Muslims are already  said to be insecure by these champions of secularism and minorities ?

5)      If Shias    in Pakistan  or Bangladesh or  Afghanistan are  persecuted , why can’t they  go to  Iran, the  leading Shia Muslim power and their  champion in the world   ?

Are not the Internal feuds  in Islam as between Shias and Sunnis, Ahmedias and Ismailis etc ., are a matter to be  arbitrated and settled by the  OIC  ?

6)      While the rest of the 192 member states of the United Nations  have accede to and endorsed  the Universal  Declaration  of  Human Rights,  the OIC countries had come out with the Islamic Declaration of Human Rights, thus setting Muslims apart from the rest of   humanity ? Does it not   therefore behove the OIC to arrange for   shelter  and citizenship of persecuted  Muslims anywhere in the  world  ?

7)      If some sections of India are  so much  concerned for Muslims persecuted in the  neighboring Islamic  countries,  cannot Bharat, the spiritual  and millennial mother of all Hindus  including  Buddhists ,  Jains  and Sikhs be concerned with the fate of these non- Muslim minorities, who  until 1947  could be the   citizens of what is now India anywhere at any time;  be accommodated and treated as Bharat’s children and given Bharat  citizenship ?

8)      The CAA does not say that the persecuted Muslims of the  three neighbouring countries   cannot  apply for citizenship in India . Such applicants  will be  considered on their    merits as indeed  over  500 of  them from Pakistan  had been given India’s citizenship.

9)      Why did  the defenders of secularism and  persecution on the basis of religion organise one  rally against the brutal expulsion of  five  lakh Hindus and Sikhs from Muslim  -majority  Kashmir Valley of the J&K state of India?

10)  Why did  they  not raise any voice against  citizens of India  and their progeny working  in that state as menials at the  invitation of the   J&K government, denied the right to any employment other than as menials and right to vote  in elections to the State Assembly ?

11)  Similarly, Hindus and Sikhs who fled from Pakistan and  have been living in J&K since 1947 are  not given J&K citizenship. Is this  not discrimination  on the  basis of religion by the so called secular governments headed by the Muslim Chief  Ministers in that state?

12)  Why have you not  spoken about  Muslims becoming  Chief  Ministers in Hindu majority states like Bihar,  Assam, Rajasthan and Maharashtra but not a single Hindu ever becoming the Chief  Minister of J&K ?

Does secularism mainly mean that the Indian State should privilege Muslims (and Christians ) by giving them special rights  (as in Art 30) like carving Muslim majority districts, Muslim First (Development)  Programs ( as during UPA government 2004-14), subsidizing Muslims Haj ( and Christians’ Holy Land ) pilgrimages, construction of churches ; paying Imams and Muezzins (and Pastors) , funding Madrassas etc, all from the tax and debt monies of the State (s) administration of Hindus’ temples by government(s) and Leaving churches and mosques from government administration management?

Are Muslim parties (like IUML, AIMIM, AIUDF) pass off as secular but not Hindus’ Bajrang Dal Hindu Mahasabha etc?  (882 words)
