Organised Defence of Hindu Dharma

From The Onslaught of Christian Missions

In Andhra Pradesh

Dr T.H.Chowdary*

Concerned with the large scale  conversion  of  Hindus, mainly from  dalits  and the very poor form other  castes  and  the construction of tens of thousands  of Churches  in the  past 10-15 years,   upto a dozen in some villages  by different denominations of Churches and the  fraudulent way  the   conversions are being done  and the injustice being done to   non-converted Hindu-dalits by the  converted dalits  appropriating for themselves  most of the  benefits  meant for SCs ( like reservations  in government  jobs, admission to educational institutions, MLAs and MPs  etc)  by the   converts not disclosing the fact of conversion but submitting  false  caste  certificates, (given by their own likes, that is crypto Christian officers) scores of former  Justice of  High Courts,  retired IAS & IPS  officers, former  Vice Chancellors  and eminent   intellectuals and  professionals   had come together and founded the  Bharatiya Dharma Rakshana Samakhya  (Samakhya)  in the  year 2012.  The fraud that  triggered  the founding of this  Samakhya is the declining of Christians as well as their proportion  in the total   population of  the two Telugu States as  recorded in census after censes  as below but tens of  thousands of Churches coming up and a Christian Chief Minister of the undivided Andhra Pradesh  creating   a separate A.P State Christian  Minority Finance Corporation,  funding the construction of  Churches through that  Corporation and  subsidising  the Christians  for their pilgrimage to Jerusalem.  Here is the   fact about population:

2.  For the last decade or  more I have been publishing  articles  in newspapers  bringing out monographs and  pamphlets about   the  aggressive and fraudulent conversion activities of  Christian missions and the patronage of   vote-courting  regional parties as well as the  Congress  using  tax monies to promote   Christianity .   The governments of these    regional parties  as well as the Congress had been granting budget money which merely construction of  and repairs to Churches,   construction  of  Urdu Ghars, Shadi Khanas etc.  I had  filed   a PIL in the High Court of  Hyderabad which was pleased to stay the   spending of  government  money  for construction of Churches and   subsidising Christian pilgrimages.  However  the government  went in appealed to the Supreme Court  which merely directed the  High Court to  quickly dispose of the  case but  gave no other directive. I did not receive any relief. The vote  -courting party governments are not only continuing  the spending  of budget money to appease  Muslims and Christians  but  even had the legislatures pass  resolution for 12%  reservation for Muslims and so on.

3. The  efforts of  the Samakhya  took a good turn     in 2014 when   in the   separate  Andhra Pradesh State   a coalition of   the TDP and the  BJP formed the government .  A BJP person, Sri P. Manikyala Rao  became the Minister for Endowment Department  that   manages and administers the Hindus temples including the famous  and most resource rich  Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) .

4. A retired IAS officer who was also  Executive Officer of the  TTD once, the late Sri PVRK Prasad   a saintly person with great administrative  abilities and scholastic qualifications  was  taken  as  chairperson of  Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust ( HDPT). Sri PVRK Prasad  was a  wise  person  with great modesty benefiting a true scholar. He

5. He got the  Endowment Department and  the  TTD to convene  annual  Dharmika Sadassus (Assemblies) in which the  Adhipatis ( heads) of different Peethams and  Muths of Hindu   Panths / Sampradayas are  participants  besides  active societies  engaged in the  defence  and  promotion of  Hindu Dharma.  All the  programs advocated by the  Bharatiya Dharma Rakshana Samakhya  for the last several years got owned by  the   Endowment Department  (ED)and the TTD through these  Sadassus and  resolutions  of the Dharmika Sadassus are binding upon  the  TTD and   ED .   Here are  the achievements  so far:

6. Divya Darshan:  Government of India  has been subsidising the Haj pilgrimage of   Muslims  to the extent of  hundreds of  crores  of Rupees of tax payers money. The  governments of Telugu states had  begun    subsidising the pilgrimage of  Christians to Jerusalem .  The Samakhya     proposed that    the government   of Andhra Pradesh should    take  1000 Dalits,  Girijans  and  other poor   Hindus irrespective of caste  on a  conducted   tour for darshan  at  seven  prominent temples   with the cost of that conducted    Darshan  borne   by the   Government  of Andhra Pradesh just as it is   bearing the cost of   subsidies   to Christians  pilgrimages.  The  proposal  was accepted and is being  implemented  with  1000 person  from each district, every year  being taken on a 5 day conducted   devalaya darshan  yathara.  This is called  divya darshan and was flagged off  on 1st  Jan 2017.  The TTD gets every year  over Rs. 2700 cr . Other temples in Andhra Pradesh get about  Rs. 400 cr. The Chief Minister of A.P ruled  that the  expenditures on Divya Darshan should be met by the  TTD/ Endowment  Department.  This is  unfair  because  GOAP is subsidising  Christians’  pilgrimage from the  government’s  budget.

We are   demanding that  the expenditure on divya darshan must be reimbursed  by the government from its budget as long as funds   Muslims’  or Christians religious   activities  like the construction of Churches,  subsidies to   Christian pilgrimages construction of   Christ and Haj houses,   Urdu ghars and Shadi khanas meant for minorities.  Our he struggle  will go on . This divya darshan is one of the means by which   we want to stem the   conversion of the  poor   to Christianity .

7. Dharma Prabodhaks:   In order to counter  the activities of   Pastors and  gangs  of  Christian missionaries,  at the instance of  Samakhya, the GOAP and its Endowment Department  have accepted our proposal that every Mandal ( Taluka/Tahsil) shall have a Dharma  Prabodkhaks.  Out of  the   600 and odd Mandals in A.P, more than 400 Mandals are now having    Dharma Prabhodkas. They are given  one moth’s training  about the fundamentals of Hinduism, the attacks it is being subjected to,  especially by   Christian missionaries and   secularists. They are paid  honorarium of  Rs. 8000 per month for the time being.  They are part time functionaries. They are  assigned tasks designed to defend   Hinduism, to  bring the knowledge and superiority of Hinduism among   people, especially the  poor and   dalits and girijans all fishermen communities (specially targeted) along the  coast of Andhra Pradesh for conversion.

8. Construction of Temples: We are able to get the    government  (Endowment Department   and the TTD)   to  construct   500  Hindus temples (mainly Rama temples) every year  in   Dalit wadas,  Girijan gramas  and slums in   towns and cities.  The choice is given to the   dalits   and  girijans as to which  god or goddesses  or gram  devata the temples should  be for.

For each temple  there is permission  from the local body ; a society is registered  and  means are secured for them to continue  the conduct of   pujas,  festivals and  so on. Each is equipped with public address system both for bhajans and  their broadcast.

Dalits and  girijans an d fishermen others  are being  trained as Archakas  of these temples. The spiritual equality   as propounded by  the great Seer Ramanjuan a thousand years ago, is being  promoted.

The consecration   / prana prathistha of  idols, rituals for them are all done by the  Dalits and Girijans themselves – with assistance from the  traditional Brahmana  priests.

10. Bhajan Mandals:   3000 Bhajan gurus had been trained  and they are deployed in important temple towns  to train other bhajan gurus.  Bhajan Mandals  are formed   by Dharma Prabhodaks.  The Bhajan Mandals  are given  all   necessary instruments and   literature. Competitions are held at the  district and state level in order to  build  up  enthusiasm for more and more Bhajan Mandals   which will create a sense of all Hindus irrespective of  caste becoming one community .

11. Sandhya Gurukulas : Important  temples are  chosen as centers for promoting  right knowledge of  Hindu Dharma  among people . On Sundays,  in the forenoon    at these   Sandhya  Gurukulas a learned  person  give a pravachan  . It is followed by   bhajan and distribution of   prasadam .  It is through   these discourses that     the essentials of Hindu dharma are  understood  and traditional practices.

Outsourcing all these  activities  are    “outsourced” to  the  Samarasata Foundation (SRF) which was brought into being with the  specific objective of defending Hinduism  from     Christian missionary activity and   the enmity of secularists and Marxists and their     disparagement of Hinduism. This The functionaries of  SRF are dedicated people.  This  is funded by voluntary contributions. The Activities mentioned above are funded by Endowment Department  and TTD.

Strict accounting is done . This is a missionary activity; a mission for the  defence and promotion of   Hindu dharma  especially among the  vulnerable  sections.

12. The Samakhya is seized with  the problem of  the dalit converts  appropriating  all the benefits   meant for    the Hindu and Buddhist  Dalits by the converts to  Christianity among them. We are interrogating the MLAs and MPS and even  government officers who by producing false  caste certificates, have  become   government and officers, MLAs and MPS as well as members  of   Mandal and Zilla Parishats .  The task is quite difficult.   Christians  are turning violent.  The converts to  Christianity are obstructing the construction of Ramalayas   in  Dalitwadas in a number of villages and towns.    In order to stop this the Dalit and other caste people   are     invoking     atrocities Act  – atrocities being committed by  Christians on Hindu  Dalits.
